Gauntlets inspired by Italian medieval armor concepted by me. Thought it would be cool to make gauntlets I could imagine in a RPG game.

The goal was to model a prop to improve my hard surface modeling and texturing workflows. Quality wise I aimed for a cinematic quality model that could be used for promo art and first person views. I also wanted the model to be broken down into detachable pieces (similar to armor and weapon upgrades in games).

All modeled in Maya, sculpted the fabric wrinkles and some damage wear to the metals in Zbrush. Textured in Substance Painter, baked and rendered in Marmoset.
